“Comfortable in my own skin” – Wilmington, NC Boudoir

Nov 3, 2019

Ms. C came to me on a referral (which I LOVE) and was looking to get portraits taken as an anniversary gift for her husband. The two of them have twins, work full-time, and she is in school…so you could certainly say that this girl needed to do something to treat herself!

I loved my time with her and especially was grateful that I could give her some pampering time for herself since I know how hard she works for her family. Isn’t she a stunner??

What was the best part of the experience for you?
“Feeling like a woman again! Not like a mom or a wife or a nurse or a student… like a beautiful woman!”

Now that you’ve completed your session and seen your images, is there something that you would have liked told your pre-session self to do, not do, or not to worry about?
“Not to worry about my body image… it is what it is… we all have parts of ourselves we are unhappy with… focus on what you love about yourself, not what you dislike.”

“I wanted to do something out of the ordinary for my husband for I anniversary… something he wouldn’t expect, something he could treasure that would be just for him. I saw some images of a friend that Alisha took and was astonished at how absolutely stunning my friend was. There is nothing better than feeling good in your own skin. Despite being totally self conscious about my weight and body image, Alisha found a way to make me feel totally comfortable in my own skin. If you don’t do it for any other reason than just for yourself, do it!”
