When will I see my images from my session?
My clients will see their images from their session on the very same day as their photoshoot! We take a quick lunch/massage break and then you will see your images immediately after. For those who need to see their images on a separate day, I will book you a separate appointment within 14 days of the photoshoot. Should you be unable to return to the studio within 14 days of your session, please let us know as soon as possible as we may require you to reschedule your session.
How does the Image Reveal & Ordering Appointment work?
Your Ordering Appointment is your time to view all of your gorgeousness and decide which images you will be purchasing! We pull all of your images up on the TV and go through them one at a time; I will show you some images in color and some in black & white. They are “rough drafts”, meaning they have not been fully edited. All of the professional retouching is done on your images after we select which ones you are purchasing. There are a variety of different print and digital options.
How long is the Image Reveal & Ordering Appointment?
I allot 1 – 1.5 hours for each client to view their images and make their purchasing decisions. While this may seem like a lot of time, most of my clients are done in an hour. Others take longer! It is important to be decisive as the time moves quickly. I would love to offer my clients unlimited time to view and make purchasing decisions; however, in an effort to be fair and reasonable to all we do have to limit the appointment to this time block.
How should I prepare? It is normal to be nervous to view your images?
I do not fully retouch your images prior to you seeing them, and this can be nerve wracking for some people. However, you are in great hands. The images right out of the camera already look amazing. My clients typically enjoy seeing their images before any retouching happens, that way you know how great you look and don’t question what I might have edited. This also allows me to give my clients the exact amount of retouching they want, and it gives me the time I need to hand retouch each individual image.
What do I need to bring?
Just your beautiful face and your payment method. Even if you have pre-purchased a Collection, you may decide to add additional products or upgrade your Collection. Please remember that if you choose to take advantage of my post-session payment plan, you must still put down a deposit for your order at the Reveal.
Payment options are: cash, credit, debit, PayPal credit, or PayPal. We do NOT accept checks.
Please come alone. I do not allow guests/children to attend your session or your Image Reveal & Ordering Appointment unless you are participating in a couples session or we have specifically discussed a different arrangement.
How many images will I see?
Every session is different, but I typically show 70-100 unique images per client. If you prepay for a package, I have a better idea of how many images you’ll need to fill your package! Prepaying is always a great idea.
What about Photoshop?
I will edit all images prior to delivering them to you. I will remove bruises, pimples, scratches, and cellulite. I will also even skin tone and lighten any dark circles under the eyes. I will give you the option if you would like to have scars, stretch marks, birthmarks, moles, or tattoos smaller than a quarter photoshopped out. Should you have additional retouching requests, they must be made at your Image Reveal & Ordering Appointment, and if the request is outside my normal scope of work it may require additional fees.
Do I get to see my edited images before they are sent off for print?
Yes! I send you the edited proofs to approve before I order your album, prints, etc.
How long will it take to receive my Collection/Album/Prints, etc?
With your payment in full you will receive the prints and products in 3-6 weeks. If you need your images faster than this turnaround time, please consult with us. We may be able to accommodate some requests with or without a rush fee added.
Will my products be shipped to me or do I need to come pick them up?
Products can either be shipped to you or you can pick them up at the studio. Please let us know at the Ordering Appointment if you’d like them shipped! I do prefer to have them shipped to me directly and then hand-deliver to you if you are local to Wilmington, though!
There is no option to have an online gallery or a second Ordering Appointment.
Can I make additional purchases at a later date?
I am now offering an option for archiving your images after your ordering appointment for an additional fee. However, it is advised you take advantage of the payment plans available if you would like to purchase more than you were expecting. If you purchase the Digital Collection with the high-resolution files, you can send them to me for printing or you may print them through a third-party at any time.
Will my images be shared?
No, I will not share your images without your explicit written consent. We will discuss this at your Ordering Appointment and have you fill out a form going over this.
