The Choosing: Spain

Granada & Málaga

April 23 - 30, 2027

You don’t need a new version of yourself.

You need to prove to yourself that you are worth choosing.

Hi, I'm Alisha. And I probably know what you're thinking...

Everyone knows they can depend on you.

But at the end of the day, can you depend on yourself?

You're the one who figures it out.

The one who remembers what needs to be done. Who keeps things moving. Who shows up. Who makes sure everyone else is okay.

Your family can depend on you.
Your friends can depend on you.
Your coworkers can depend on you.

  • Can you trust yourself to listen when something inside you says I want this?
  • Can you make a promise to yourself - and actually keep it?
  • Can you choose something simply because it matters to you, without immediately making a list of all the reasons you shouldn't?

Because maybe that's the part no one sees.

When do I get to do something for me?

Deep down, you've been wondering:
And every time you get close, the reasons not to come flooding in:

  • There are more responsible things I could spend the money on.
  • I can't just leave my family for a week.
  • What if something happens while I'm gone?
  • Maybe this is too extravagant.
  • Maybe next year will make more sense.
  • Maybe someday.

And you can call it money or timing or responsibility.

But underneath all of it might be a much harder question:

Do I believe I'm worth saying yes to?

it's time for a reset

Imagine this instead...

Fast-forward to April 2027.

You've landed in Spain.

Your suitcase is beside you. There are women around you who were strangers not long ago and will soon become part of the story you tell about this week for years.

Granada is waiting, Málaga is ahead.

There will be long dinners and ridiculous laughter. Beautiful places. New experiences. Conversations you didn't know you needed. Moments when you feel completely outside your comfort zone and others when you can't remember the last time you felt this free.

But before any of that happens, you've already done something important.

You were nervous about the money, and you figured it out.

You wondered how everyone at home would manage without you, and you let them.

You worried about traveling internationally, and you got on the plane anyway.

You wondered if you'd fit in with a group of women you'd never met, and you showed up.

You had a hundred perfectly reasonable reasons to wait for "someday," and this time, you didn't.

That's what I want you to understand about this week:

Food, scenery, movement, exploration, moments of stillness. Everything is chosen with intention so your nervous system softens and your intuition returns.

What You Will  Experience

You will be surrounded by women who are also done playing small. This is a judgment free container where you are allowed to take up space, be witnessed, be celebrated, and rise.

A Supportive, aligned community

CURATED EXPERIENCES THAT AWAKEN YOUR SENSES

You will remember who you are. You will meet a version of yourself you cannot unsee. You will return home different. More confident. More certain. More alive.

A soft, grounded reset

You chose yourself.

But you're not standing in Spain yet.

This isn't just a week in spain.

Yes, we're going somewhere extraordinary.

You're going to wander the streets of Granada, experience the Alhambra, eat incredible food, laugh over wine, watch flamenco, feel the Mediterranean air in Málaga, have photographs made of yourself and spend a week surrounded by women who were brave enough to say yes, too.

And I'm going to take care of the details so that, for once, you don't have to be the person making everything happen.

But the real reason I created this retreat goes much deeper than the itinerary.

What if it's simply what it feels like to make a different choice?

This week is an opportunity to change the relationship you have with yourself.

  • To practice trusting yourself.
  • To let yourself want something.
  • To make a decision without requiring everyone else's approval.
  • To discover that prioritizing yourself doesn't mean neglecting the people you love.

Because this isn't really about proving that you can go to Spain… It's about proving that you can have your own back.

That when something matters to you, you listen.

That when fear shows up, you don't automatically let it make the decision.

That when you say you're going to choose yourself, you actually follow through.

You can be deeply devoted to your family, your responsibilities, and the life you've built...and still belong to yourself.

Those things were never mutually exclusive. You were just taught to believe they were.

Because what happens when you come home?

Imagine yourself a year from now, and something comes up that you want.

An opportunity. A trip. A change. A boundary you need to set. A decision you've been afraid to make.

The old version of you might have immediately looked outward:
  • What will everyone think?
  • Will this inconvenience someone?
  • Am I asking for too much?
  • Should I really do this?

But now you have evidence.
You remember Spain.

  • You remember the decision that once felt enormous.
  • You remember being scared and doing it anyway.
  • You remember that everyone at home was okay.
  • You remember what happened when you stopped waiting for permission.

And most importantly:

Evidence that you can make a decision based on what you want.

That you can do something even when it scares you.

That you don't need everyone else's approval before you're allowed to choose yourself.

That when you say you're going to do something for you, you can trust yourself to follow through.

And now you're standing in Spain because you did.

It's one week to practice choosing yourself —

and a lifetime to remember that you can.

Getting to Spain isn't just the beginning of the experience.
It's evidence.

Look, women like us get really good at talking ourselves out of what we want.

You just imagined yourself there.

Walking through Granada. Sitting around a table laughing with women who were strangers a few days ago. Feeling the Mediterranean air on your skin. Waking up and realizing the only person you need to think about that morning is you.

And maybe some part of you thought: God, I want that.

But almost immediately, another voice probably showed up.
A whole week away?
That's a lot of money to spend on myself.
What about my family?
Do I really need something like this?
Isn't this a little... indulgent?

And there it is.

the story.

The one so many of us have been taught about what it means to be a good woman.

Be responsible. Be practical. Don't ask for too much. Make sure everyone else has what they need first.

We're conditioned to believe that being a good mother, partner, daughter, friend, employee — a good woman — means being endlessly available.

So of course choosing something this big for yourself feels uncomfortable. But what if that discomfort isn't telling you no?

One where your wants don't automatically move to the bottom of the list.
One where spending money on yourself isn't inherently selfish.
One where leaving for a week doesn't mean you're abandoning anyone.
One where you don't need to justify wanting something simply because it belongs entirely to you.
That's what I want you to bring home.

Not a temporary escape from your real life.

Not seven days of pretending your responsibilities don't exist.

But a more powerful version of you walking back into the life you already love.

A woman who knows that being there for herself doesn't make her less dependable.

A woman who doesn't automatically assume her desires should come last.

A woman who can want something, choose it and follow through.

A woman who knows she can have her family's back...and her own.

This is Spain.

But it's also so much bigger than Spain.

Packing List & Destination Prep Information

↠ These trips are an ADVENTURE and RATED R-ish. In the past, our trips have been a little wild 😝. We get very comfortable with each other quickly - language and banter runs high on these.
↠ If you are looking for super luxury service and a G-rated environment this may not be the trip for you. While your team leaders will always remain professional (mostly - we like to party with you, too) we want all participants to feel free to express themselves in a judgement-free zone. That being said, you are responsible for knowing your own limits and behaving responsibly.
↠ Travel Insurance is mandatory. Alisha can book this for you if desired; plan for $100 - $200 expense.
↠ You will need to sign a model release as we are posting away on this trip (if you don't want risqué photos shared we can accommodate that exception).

It was a once in a lifetime trip.

Portugal with Alisha was a once in a lifetime trip. I have never experienced an event that was so rewarding and affirming to who I am as an individual.

I appreciated Alisha’s planning of events and her previous knowledge of the area. It was also great how flexible Alisha was in change of plans and how she always had a way to make it fun and eventful. I can’t think of a single thing I would have changed.

a pivotal life
moment for me.

everyone had a phenomenal time.

Leaving the comforts of home with a bunch of strangers is what I call an adventure.

The ladies that were on this trip are off-the-charts brilliant! Amidst all the laughter, they helped me rediscover a piece of myself I thought was long gone. The next time someone asks about a pivotal life moment, this trip will be my top pick.

- Zoë, mexico, 2023

I highly enjoyed myself in Portugal!

I liked that we were able to fill in the free time of the schedule with things we wanted to do.

The camaraderie between all the women on the trip was amazing! I think we all got along really well - our personalities blended, we bonded, and everyone had a phenomenal time.

Hi! I'm Alisha

I’m the founder of Atlantic Boudoir, based in Wilmington, NC — but more importantly, I’m someone who designs experiences that help women come back to themselves.

For the past eight years, my work has centered on creating intentional spaces where women can slow down, feel supported, and reconnect with their bodies, their voices, and their sense of self. Whether through photography, workshops, or retreats, the heart of what I do is the same: presence, permission, and transformation.

What I’ve learned through years of holding space for women is that true change doesn’t come from fixing yourself — it comes from being seen, softened, and supported long enough to remember who you already are.

Retreats allow that process to unfold more fully. With time, nature, and community, something shifts. Women arrive guarded or tired, and they leave more grounded, more alive, and more at home in themselves.

This is the work I care about most. And it’s an experience every woman deserves at least once.

Prioritizing my own well-being made me happier and more confident. Now, I help other women rediscover their spark through photography and travel.
