You think you can’t do a boudoir shoot because you don’t like your boobs?
You may call them too small, too big, too saggy or droopy; you may say that your nipples are too big, too small, too pointy. TRUTH BOMB: all boobs are different! Like, super different (nearly everyone has asymmetrical breasts). And they’re allllll good for boudoir photography!
The first step I take in making you feel comfortable with your ‘girls’ for your session is with the in-person consultation where I help you pick out pieces from the Client Wardrobe.
For example, if you feel that you need more support up top, we can try on pieces with underwire or supportive cups. If you are good with letting them free, deep v-necks or halters help with great cleavage. Racerback tops are also a good option for more lift. We also can make use of some body tape to add some lift and stability!
If you are wanting to look and feel a bit larger, demi cups are a great option. Demis cover the lower three quarters of the chest and have tilted cups that push the breasts toward the center.
In addition to wardrobe, strategic posing helps with your confidence! During the session, we pose in ways that flatter the chest – sometimes we squeeze them together, hold them up with your arms and/or hands, or lean just so. I’ll be getting angles that you’ve probably never seen!
For the final “in the sheets” set, you are in no way required to show anything you aren’t comfortable with! The “implied nude” is just as sexy as baring it all! If you aren’t super pumped about your nipples, you can opt to wear pasties or a higher-coverage body chain for a fun touch to a topless look.
Regardless of how you feel about your chest, I promise that we can take portraits that you will love – and hopefully make you feel better about what you’re working with than you ever have before!
