Are you looking for boudoir outfit ideas?
There are SO many different things you can wear for your boudoir shoot – it doesn’t have to be racy lingerie, either. Here’s a round up of some categories I like to suggest, as well as some pieces that I have in my Client Wardrobe!
What’s my Client Wardrobe? I have pieces in sizes XS–4X for my clients to borrow for their shoots if they desire. You can try on different pieces during your Pre-Session Consultation here at the studio, and if any of them are winners, they’re yours to wear on your session date! To keep it sanitary, you must wear a nude (or black, for black pieces) g-string or thong underneath the outfit; they are, of course, washed after each wear as well.
So what do I suggest my clients to wear for their boudoir session?
Boudoir Outfit Idea One: BODYSUITS
Bodysuits and teddies are by far my favorite thing to photograph. They’re flattering on everyone, come in a variety of colors and materials, and are comfortable! Long sleeve, short sleeve, choker neck, halter top, racerback, see-through, lacy, cotton, whatever – I love them all!
Boudoir Outfit Idea Two: T-Shirts/Tanks
You can keep it comfortable AND sexy by wearing either a slouchy tee, a tight-fitted tee or a knotted-up tee or tank. I like to recommend pairing these with sporty bottoms like Calvin Klein or boy-cut shorts, but they can also be worn with lacy bottoms as well!
Boudoir Outfit Idea Three: Two-Piece Bra and Panty Sets
Simple and sexy! Choose your favorite cup style (or go cupless – ooh la la!) and rock it. Demi, strapless, pushup, bralette, you decide. Wear with panties, or not. We can play with the straps, play with the girls, or just lounge around and look HOT.
Boudoir Outfit Idea Four: Robes or Sweaters
I will always recommend tighter-fitting over loose-fitting clothing to show off your curves, but a light, flowy robe or slouchy sweater can definitely add an element of romance to any outfit. This is also a great piece to add if you are dying to go nude but don’t want to bare it all. Just avoid busy patterns and neon colors.
Items in the Atlantic Boudoir Client Wardrobe
These are just SOME of the pieces I have in the client closet, ranging from size XS–4X. Check out the custom rhodochrosite stone body chain I had made for my clients (last image). I LOVE body chains!
Of course, there are far more things you could wear outside of this short list. Click here to get access to my full Wardrobe Guide that I provide to my clients before their shoot!
