An Out of Body Experience

I’ve got another amazing anonymous gallery to share with you this week!

This client had been ITCHING for her own boudoir shoot for a couple years now…and when she finally went for it, it was clear she wished she had done it sooner! It was awesome seeing her confidence shine in her images and I so appreciate her giving me permission to share the anonymous ones of her gorgeous back and booty. 😉

How do you think your session went?
Incredibly well and SO fun!

What was the best part of the experience for you?
I loved the actual time spent with Alisha during the shoot. I wish she could hype me up and compliment me all day… there should be an Alexa feature for that.

Now that you’ve completed your session and seen your images, is there something that you would have liked to tell your pre-session self to do, not do, or not to worry about?
I probably should’ve eaten breakfast (haha), it was sort of like a workout! I beat myself up a little bit beforehand because I got off my workout routine the two weeks prior, for valid reasons, but my images still turned out beautifully.

How would you rate your body confidence post-session on a scale from 1-10?
10 (Pre: 7)

How do your photos make you feel empowered? Do they make you feel seen? Describe how you might see something in yourself you haven’t seen in awhile (if you feel that way).
Having these photos done provided me an out-of-body experience to view myself through this type of lens. It’s different than standing in the mirror or taking a selfie. I saw myself as sexy and powerful and able to own that in the moment. I didn’t think I could tap into the sensual side of myself. It may have taken some guidance from Alisha, but it’s in there within me!

“Between Alisha’s compliments and the image reveal, I’ve never felt more confident in my body than in that moment. And I truly believed her, she wasn’t just saying these things like a shallow ‘I like your dress’ in the break room, no – she sees the beauty in every one of us. I’ve been taught my whole life to be modest, anti-sexual, not show too much, and those are all fine, but they’ve created this mental block for me to feel unallowed to be sexy when the setting feels appropriate and safe for me. It was nice to feel safe and encouraged to be my true self… not to mention the bonus of stunning images to keep as a reminder of how far I’ve come. I had SO much fun treating myself for a day and hanging out with my girlfriend. What a beautiful gift.”
